Fred has just arrived at our kennel from the Hartum's in Alberta, Ca. Fred is a very well bred leader that has put together a good racing record as a main leader for the Hartum's. As a seven year old in 2006 he lead Mark's team to 4th on the first day of the ONAC and was a three day dog both times he ran it. In addition Fred led the IFSS world championships silver medal team in Dawson city. He is a nice boy that raced a long time at a high level. He has an excellent gait. I have seen him trot at 16 mph with an extremely tight tug line. There is a lot of "burner in this boy". $500
Buddha's mother (Piglet) is a littermate to the dog (Kanga) that produced Jeff King's 2006 Iditarod golden harness winner "Salem". Buddha's Grandfather "Beta" ran several Iditarods for King and was used for main stud for many years by Jeff. Buddha's father (Skip) is line bred on Martin Buser's main dogs. Skip finished the 2005 Iditarod.
The mother of Buddha, Piglet, has never thrown a bum dog in the six litters she has had. She is very resilient and raced competitively until 8 yrs of age in a speed team! The main characteristic of Piglet and her offspring is a very sprung rib cage. This is a serious hard core sled dog that moves real nice, eats and has tough everything. The pedigree is a who's who of the Iditarod. Offspring on site. Stud fee $400.
