About Us
We are the owners of a professional middle distance racing kennel located in the northern part of Luce County in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Laura is a Physical Therapist Assistant for Chippewa County War Memorial Hospital and Frank is a Survey Technician for Foresight Professional Land Surveys.
Our main passion for sleddogs is the relationship with the animals. It is also our intent to attempt to realize the potential of these remarkable athletes.
Laura brings to the table of our endeavors and success with raising competive mid-distance racing sleddogs, her many years of horse care, training and riding. Her physical therapy education and experience are assets that contribute immensely to the health and well-being of our dogs. Laura also worked as a Kennel Assistant for her local Vet at Dickman Road Veterinary Clinic while she was attending college for her physical therapy degree. Her personal attributes that lend themselves to the success of our athletes are her patience, persistance and consistency as well as strong organizational skills. Above all, Laura is an excellent trainer of animals.
Frank's strengths include years of competitive sports such as boxing, bowling and ice hockey. As a former middle weight tough man competition champion, middle weight arm wrestling champion, and multiple American Bowling Congress amature wins, Frank has developed and demonstrated the mental toughness it takes to win consistently. Having spent every free moment outdoors while growing up in the north woods of Michigan and along with earning an Associates Degree in Natural Resources Technology and a Bachelors Degree in Parks and Recreation Management has allowed Frank to be comfortable and confident during inclement weather and in remote places.
